You were invited here because your sisters and brothers at Mosiac Community Church care about you and the loss of your loved one. Our hearts go out to you and your family during this time of sorrow. You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks and months.
Remembering God's Promises
Most importantly, God cares. God is always with us and has made precious promises that sustain us in times of sorrow. The Apostle Paul assures us that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". (2 Cor. 5:8)
Centuries later, St. Julian of Norwich wrote, "All shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well." During her lifetime, 50 million people died from The Black Death, a viral pandemic. Clearly she was anticipating the fulfillment of the promise revealed to St. John the Divine:
When coping with grief, it's often difficult to find time for yourself - time to reflect, remember and pray. Many people find that meditative music helps them focus and become more aware of the presence and peace of God. "Peace, I leave with you. My peace I give you." (John 14:27)
